Synopsis
BUSHWICK is passion becoming reality and the hopeful expression of a community that has been forgotten. The sexploitation of young women, the hopes and dreams of the illegal immigrant, the proliferation of gang violence, and the corruption of governmental authority (both educational/police) are the underlying themes of BUSHWICK. We want to give expression to the forgotten voices of the men and women of BUSHWICK, BROOKLYN.
BUSHWICK was written, directed and produced by Luis Landivar and stars Harvey Kaufman, Brazilian Diego Kelman Ajuz, Dominican sensation Yanillys Perez, and in a star-making turn Puerto-Rican Edgar Caraballo as Antonio Colon. Also starring Erika Robel, Geri McKeon, Matthew McCurdy, Lenore Wolf and Peter di Senna.
The behind-the-scenes creative team includes director of photography Anja Matthes, editor Jeff Pinilla and costume designer Olivia Perez.
